I also like at the first of the book when Jack said he would learn how to spell alliteration and onomatopoeia. It was funny how he was arguing with himself. The book was pretty good, but it kind of confused me. I can connect to Jack because sometimes I argue with myself too. But I usallly don't argue about words. I can connect to Jack because I am a boy too. I can connect to Jack because I have written about my pet too. But my pet is not a cat and I didn't write a poem. 3 stars

My favorite poem in Where the Sidewalk Ends is The Crocodile's Toothache. I liked it because it was funny that the dentist wasn't doing his job right and accidentally hurt the crocodile. So the crocodile gobbled him up! My connection would be that I wrote a poem not too long ago. What I thought was cool was that it was not regular words it was all poetry. my favorite poem was Dreadful, because the guy who said it was awfull to eat the baby, was the one who ate the baby. you could tell because he burped in the last line!
a connection I made was that I read a book where an alligator eats a guy by tricking him that he had a sore tooth, just like he did in the alligators toothache.

I also liked when Jack went to go get a dog and he thought that all the dogs were saying ,pick me ,chose me ,I am the best one.
I can connect to this story because I have a dog named Charlie and he loves playing outside with my friends like sky ,but we keep him away from the rode. :( hated when sky died I wish they did not have that part in the story.
I will have to give this book 4 stars.

My third favorite poem is captin hook because it said "captin hook must remember to never pick his nose."
My fourth favorite poem is the loser because at the end it says"i guess ill just sit on this rock and rest for a minite" and it shows a picture of him sitting on his head.
My fith favorite poem is oops because it is wrote upside down and it sounds wierd but then i read it backwards and it sound very very good.
